Let’s face it, the teaser trailer for “Terminator Salvation” was pretty damn awesome (see it for yourself here if you haven’t yet), but like most trailers, and teasers in particular, it came and went way too fast. So I went through a bigger version of the trailer (Yahoo! Movies is hosting some very high resolution versions here), and grabbed stills of the more notable images in the teaser. Check them out below.

NOTE: The following are all speculations. I could be, and probably am, wrong on many counts.

A giant robotic arm crashes through a warehouse roof and snatches a (presumably) rebel fighter off his feet, as (presumably again) someone (maybe John Connor, holding the revolver in the foreground) watches on:

Someone (John Connor?) peek at something bright approaching from the other side of a wall:

Someone fleeing through a forest, being chased by … something big enough to destroy trees like they were twigs. The figure looks like Marcus, as it fits in with another image later in the teaser.

An unconscious human pilot who had parachuted, and got snatched up on one of those damaged oil rig tower thingies. The pilot’s body shape looks like a woman. The man at the desert floor looking up at the pilot could be John Connor, but probably more like Marcus (Sam Worthington’s character):

Our first REAL look at Christian Bale as John Connor, already leading soldiers (in the background):

Our first look at a new brand of Terminator; remember, the movie takes place before the newer model Terminators, like the T-800 and T-1000 are built by Skynet, so the Terminators in T4 will tend to look more “bulky” and robotic, and less human. And apparently this particular Terminator is guarding what looks like a human farm — check out the gaggle of humans at the bottom of the four-walled structure that the human in the foreground is trying to climb out of:

Two human characters fleeing something, probably airborne Terminators. Another look at a female character — Moon Bloodgood, perhaps? The male, I’m pretty sure, isn’t John Connor. Again, it looks like Sam Worthington’s Marcus character who is out there wandering the landscape, which fits in with all the spoilers that has Marcus playing a new model of Terminators, of the infiltration type, who has “amnesia”. So if the female pilot we saw earlier turns out to be Moon Bloodgood, and the guy who finds her (and presumably, helps her down) is Marcus, and this is them again fleeing a Terminator together, does that then mean Moon Bloodgood’s character will be playing a love interest for Marcus, or vice versa? Remember, we already know that there’s only one woman for John Connor, and that’s Kate Brewster, and that character is being played in the movie by Bryce Dallas Howard.

Now … our first REAL look at Sam Worthington as Marcus. See the body type? He definitely looks like the male figure that ISN’T John Connor in the teaser. (I think this is Sam Worthington. Check out the images below from the teaser, and the pic of actor Sam Worthington. Looks like the same guy to me, right? I think.)

And finally, the teaser closes off with John Connor and some men chest-deep in water, being stalked by a new brand of Terminator. Check out the sequence below:
