It looks like Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2 has already started production, if these behind-the-scenes images of Summer Glau, Thomas Dekker, and Lena Headey all geared up in their robot-fighting wardrobe (or in Summer’s case, robot wardrobe) are any indication. And check out Summer Glau — for those afraid her character Cameron wouldn’t survive that horrific car explosion that capped off the show’s Season 1 finale, fear not, she’s baaaaaaaaack. As if they would kill off Summer Glau. Really, guys, what were you thinking?

than what arnie was and she is more advanced so
she should’nt damage that easy hopefully

Cameron is in the condition I’d expect to see her in. We learned in Season 1 that the terminators on this tv series have a biosynthetic living tissue that heals much faster than human tissue when Cramarti got a new layer with the biochemist. Their flesh and tissue may look human, but it is more durable and heals faster than human tissue.
It’s good to have Cameron back. Maybe her character’s journey in Season 2 will be to learn the value of human life like Arnold’s did in T2: Judgment Day? The blend of Cameron having a history of being a resistance soldier who worked and fought with the John Connor of the future and being a terminator makes her character very interesting. She even seems to have another purpose to train John with skills he will need for the future like how to hack into a terminator’s chip.

Why is there no metal? Is she THAT durable?
In the explosion, it looked to me like the engine block would have shielded her from most of the blast. From the way the front of the jeep came up it looked like the bomb was planted underneath the very front part of the engine compartment.
No metal because there on a budget. $500 makeup artist vs. $5 lick’n stick fake scratch marks.
