Helena Bonham Carter Finds Salvation

McG’s “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins” (aka T4) has already begun shooting with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington starring in New Mexico, but the production appears to still be hiring the cast. The latest addition is English actress Helena Bonham Carter (pictured, left and below), whose character in the movie Reuters calls “small but pivotal”. Carter is still in the negotiations stage, but whenever the trades report on “negotiations in progress”, it’s 99.9% a done deal.

The addition of Bonham Carter — who received an Oscar nomination for 1998’s “The Wings of the Dove” — would bring a prestige element to a big summer crowd-pleaser.
“Salvation,” however, wouldn’t be the first event movie she has recently been in. Bonham Carter starred as Bellatrix Lestrange in Warners’ 2007 “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and is set to reprise that role in the franchise’s next two films. She was in theaters last year with “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.”
Although you probably think “corset movies” whenever you think the name Helena Bonham Carter, she’s actually been in a whole lot of commercial and fan favorite films. My favorite, of course, is “Fight Club”, where she plays a woman addicted to late-night 12 stage meetings.
Production on T4 is currently in progress in New Mexico, and will be released in May 2009 barring an actor’s strike.

Joblo.com updates on Bonham Carter’s role in “Salvation”:
Just got word earlier this morning that it’s a done deal and Helena Bonham Carter will be filming are very substantial (in importance not necessarily in size) part in TERMINATOR SALVATION. The character is not Sarah Connor, as speculated below, but someone named “Serena.” Hmmm…..
Serena? Never heard of her, although rumor has it that she is the movie’s villain. Hmm… The creator of Skynet, perhaps? Or something more devious?

She will be great in the movie but obviously this PG-13 rating is going to kill the movie. I want this to be a great movie and it needs all the gory scenes and violent nature of the terminator. I have a campaign that is forcing the studio change it to an R rating. https://www.thepoint.com/campaigns/terminator-4-r-rated-only
Whoa!, She is Hot!
