McG Finally Updates T4 Blog
We always kinda knew that McG was no Jon Favreau or Zack Snyder when it came to fan interaction, but when the film’s producers went to the trouble of putting up a production blog for Terminator 4 and had the movie’s director McG make entries, one at least expected a little bit of update every now and then. Well the last time McG bothered to keep the fans updated (the point of the blog, we thought, but were apparently very wrong), was July 30. The most recent update was put up yesterday, informing us that production had wrap, and that they were now in post.

We wrapped principal photography. Now we’re heavy into post. I’ve already shown early cuts to Christian and Sam. They seem pleased with where the film is headed. Our focus is on story and character, but it’s fun diving into the world of visual effects.
It feels like the responsibility of any Terminator film to reinvent the wheel of effects with every outing. The first movie was a stunning achievement in animatronics and practical effects from Stan Winston. The second film brought us liquid metal, which was a true revolution in the effects world. Robert Patrick’s (T-1000) head coming apart and putting itself back together again looks as good today as ever…

I hope T4 redeems the Terminator Movie franchise to its former greatness before it was scared hy the abomenation that is Terminator 3 Rise of the Michines. I think christen Bale will do fine he was great in the recent two Batman movies I like the Dark Knight more beacuse I am a big fan of the Joker and Two-Face Bale will make a great John Connor I think I do not know Sam Washington he is playing a Terminator if I remember right I hope he does a good job too I bealive his charecters name was Marcus Wright the role of the Terminator wether reprogramed to fight for Teck Com or not is just as important as the role of John Connor in my opinion Anton Yelchin likke Sam Wasington I no nothing about this guy ether he is playing another important rol Kyle Reese man I wnat Justice done to Reese but I just can;t imagine anyone replaceing Meacheal Behn he did such a great job during The Terminator I could care less about Kate Brewster of Kate Connor or what ever their going to call here she could not preplace Sarah in T3 and I imagine my opinion will not change after seeing this movie anyway I am done ranting for now

I didn’t. The whole thing looked like a half-ass attempt at “connecting” with the fans from day one, so it’s no surprise that the big “update” is McG telling us the movie is done and how much everyone loves it. Standard Hollywood B.S.

My personal opinion, once I saw the trailer is could be a better movie if the script respect the ideas from the terminator first movie. McG don’t let us down! check the two terminators and you’ll have the main idea of what we want to see.

The movie will only be bad if fans set the movie up for something it is not going to be, and then when they don’t get it … they bitch.
I’ll let McG, Christian, et al. tell their story with a clean slate.

Jose, you want them to rehsh T2? it wont be anything like it. for one it takes place during the war, not before it. its going to have a completely different vibe and I’m all for it, but if people like you are expecting this to just be T4 instead of new trilogy your going to be disappointed.

as for kate brewster man hope she dies in the first minute of the film:)
hope christian bale will do a lil more shootin and a lil less crying
but i loved the guy in batman so i have a good feeling about this one

in theroy yes T3 no longer fits the timeline cause obvously Sarah did not die in 1997 like T3 says in TSCC she is very much alive 4 years after T2 which takes place in 1995 acording to TSCC Sarah would have died in 2005 of cancer but that was prevented when she John and Cameron jumped to the year 2007 and as for John’s suposed Death at the T850’s hands in 2032 I do not think that aplies ether we will see as far as I can tell the only thing from T3 they are keeping is the charecter of Kate Brewster John’s future wife acording to T3 I do not know if the T X will exsistice ether Kate is still around but other then that I can not say what still appiles to the timelin from T3 athor then Kate Brewster hope this helps
