McG to Direct Terminator 4 Movie?

The latest T4 movie news is that “Charlie’s Angels” director McG (real name Joseph McGinty Nichol) is in negotiations to helm the upcoming T4 for The Halcyon Company. The film itself is expected to go into production very soon, with an eye toward beating the upcoming Hollywood writer’s strike, which is expected to hit Hollywood and halt all movie productions. So if McG wants to direct T4, and CHUD says he is, then he better sign on fast, and get this sucker into production.

The latest comes from Duckie, who has been hearing buzzing about a name that is sort of attached to direct Terminator 4: McG.

This doesn’t mean McG IS directing Terminator 4, but that he’s in talks about it. The film is being set up as a pre-striker; the script just got turned in last week and the good people at The Halcyon Company would like to get this sucker into pre-production stat. Some talk had the movie shooting in the summer of 2008, but that’s right when the strike would start, so expect this bitch to be going before the cameras in the first months of the new year.

Well, the good news is that McG is a proven director, but the bad news is that he was the same guy who directed both “Charlie’s Angels” movies, and we all know what crap those things turned out to be. Although he did direct “We Are Marshall”, and that was kind of an okay movie…
