More about Shirley Manson’s Character in Sarah Connor

By Sam (Admin) | July 31, 2008 (10:32 am)

If you’re a fan of the show and have been keeping tabs with its casting over the summer hiatus, you probably already know that former Garbage singer Shirley Manson is joining the cast as Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a high-tech company that, in all likelihood, will have a major part in the creation of Skynet. After all, when you hear “high-tech” and “comapny”, don’t you immediately think of Cyberdyne aka Skynet? Here are more information on Shirley’s character, including a surprising mention of another character, Richard T. Jones’ FBI agent, James Ellison, who, as it turns out, has left the FBI when Season 2 begins, and now works for Weaver’s company!

Here’s an interview with the movie site Movieweb. Alas, the guy asking the question is a schmuck who has never seen the show, and it looks like Shirley wants to deck his dumb question asking ass. (Thanks to James for the link.)

In previous interviews, it was revealed that Manson got the part because she knows the wife of Sarah Connor producer Josh Friedman, who called her up and asked if she wanted to audition. She said yes, got the part, and now she’s acting for the first time in her life. Wow, it’s that easy in Hollywood, huh? Only if you’re the former lead singer of a very successful alt band, Yes.
