I don’t play a lot of games based on movies, mostly because, well, I’ve been burned a lot by really, really crappy games. Every now and then you get a good one, like the Bond games, they’re always pretty good, but you also get some real stinkers that seem to have been thrown together over a couple of months just to cash in on the movie’s popularity. I don’t know how this game based on “Terminator Salvation” will come out, but it looks okay. Not mind-blowing, mind you, but kinda okay. In any case, it should be fun blasting away at Terminators with a rail gun.
P.S. I hope the voice work in the actual game is better than the one I’m hearing in the trailer. That is the voiced of John Connor? Bleh.

This looks like a Gears of War clone. And thus I’d say it’s a missed opportunity. Just a typical movie-based game for some extra cash. A role-playing game in post-apocalyptic Terminator universe would rock hard. The Knights of the Old Republic series did wonders for the otherwise pretty boring setting that is Star Wars. An RPG could do wonders for the Terminator setting, a real chance to expand it and give it more depth.

What’s going on with the writing of the show. It’s been really poor the last few episodes. The one about Sarah chasing the cross dressing engineer nerd was really stupid. Why spend so much time on a plot with just people (rather than terminators) that seems to go nowhere. We want to see cool T8000 plot themes or things that make sense. There are lots of intesting plot lines to explore like Riley and why she’s there or Jessie and his background. Summer is probably everyone’s favorite to watch. Sometimes it seems like the producers take you down a side road that doesn’t go anywhere and it seems like they are killing time or shooting scenes that are cheaper to make. I’m losing interest in the show and think I speak for a broader group of people. You’ve got turn this thing around or the show won’t make it.
yeah i agree… they’ve got the character development down but they really need to start moving the story along and don’t put in so many fillers
The initial trailer left quite a lot to be desired , though if you scroll through the option via U-tube and click on Terminator Salvation ‘ the better version ‘ which runs for 2.47 you may be impressed . Seems to have arnie as the main character reprogrammed to protect kate brewster , with some quotes from T2 abundant as well it seems somewhat nostalgic . I’ll be interested in the opinions of others on this topic if possible .
after i saw the trailer, i preffer the other ones, from atari. but i must to see the movie first and play the game to say something else. it promise too much!

wow liked to reply on the above comment about starwars kotor dude that game was awesom becuz it was starwars any other setting with the same gameplay could kiss my ass and if this is a gears of war clone no one cares cuz thats probably the only way to make a good terminator game or they could just remake terminator future shock but i have little hope for that:(
