Terminator Salvation’s New Breed of Terminators Revealed
A while back, I posted a video that took you behind the scenes of “Terminator Salvation”, and gave you some great looks at the new breed of Terminators that will be making their first appearances in the upcoming Terminator movie via their concept artwork designs. Well that video has since been pulled by the studio. I could host them on our server, of course, but I’d just end up with a letter from the studio threatening to sue me if I didn’t remove them anyhow, so I’m not going to bother. Why go through the hassle? Anyways, the videos may have been taken down (they haven’t been taken down everywhere, of course; this is the Internet — you can’t take something down everywhere, regardless of what the studio would like to believe; google it, and I’m sure you can find it somewhere), but there are still these shots of the new Terminators themselves.
I’m reasonably certain the studio will be sending me a letter telling me to remove these, too, but until they do, here they are. If these do end up being removed, you can head over to IO9 to see the originals. I’m guessing IO9 has, you know, lawyers and won’t take the images down that easy. Either way, it baffles the mind why the studio would go to such great lengths to remove something like these, but who understands movie studios anymore?
My favorite new Terminator? The giant one. Holy crap, that’s one big Terminator.

And what the hell is that motocyle ? it can’t be possible! skynet has limited resource for producing machines to win a war, and it is going to be wasting reserve with made up fancy motocycles…
i hope they are just conceptual pictures…
i want to see a real drama, criticism for humanity, realism, principal of science fiction… i do not to watch showreel of special effects, 3d animations bla bla bla…

Well:
The bike is cool (just what I need for a traffic jam)
The soldier suit, is nice
The Hydrobot (in the future the water could be less than now)
The Big one… nothing replace an HK Tank
the flying HK, nice model, but i miss the James Cameron vision.
More TSCC and less bulls**t!

Dude, They do actually kinda’ remind me of units on C&C Tiberium wars lol. You got Nod’s Attack bike. And the huge one? a Nod Avatar haha.
Either way, They do look good though, The flying HK isn’t too bad, And also remember that is this before T1 & T2… Right?
And i totally agree, You can’t replace a HK Tank =)

ok yeah they look good, the bike seems a bit impractical, the hyrobot reminds me of the scorpion thing from transformers well its tail anyway.., this is supposed to be eairly days in the war right?, i thought skynet only created the HK tanks not a giant T-888 with no head lol, i think there just creating new models just coz they can.

I think this looks highly promising.
Remember, as the trailer has pointed out, this film takes place in a slightly altered future from the one we’ve seen before (”this is not the future my mother told me about, i dont know if we can win this war”) - so things will be slightly different.
The motorbike Terminator makes sense - it’s well established in Terminator mythology that when skynet took control of all the worlds computers, it would have used MOTOR VEHICLE FACTORIES to churn out its first lines of fighting machines - hence the bike design and the tank-like HKS and aircraft like aerial HKS.
The giant new ‘Harvester’ terminator is the one that’s most exaggerated, but if you look closely it retains elements of both the T800 endoskeleton and the HK tank.
Im nervous about this film also, but footage ive seen so far has made me optimistic, and theres no need to be picky about every single detail.

I just want to see a new trailer, something less dark and more revealing.
Otherwise, I like what they have here, so far, and think the big bot will make producers think more towards making a BattleTech movie.

They have the bikes because they are fast and very movable so they can shoot fast/smaller cars etc… and they WILL be in the movie 99999% sure
