TSCC Preview: Season 2 Episode 9 (2.09) Complications
Well the producers dropped the ball and didn’t end the madness that was Riley last week, but they did take out the only other interesting character on the show — the Terminator Cromartie. And I have to say, the way he died was kind of, well, lame. Really? A Terminator can’t shoot two people on either side of him leaning through a window from, say, 10 feet away? Exactly what kind of crappy targeting scanners are these Terminators from the future equipped with? Anyways, here’s your preview of next week’s episode, “Complications”, where we find out more about Jesse’s secret mission in the present. At least I hope she has a secret mission. All that lounging around in the sun in a bikini is easy on the eyes, but the character is starting to get a tad pointless.
Official Description:
Sarah’s mystifying nightmares creep into her real life, but what do they mean for her and John? Meanwhile, Derek and Jesse investigate a possible Skynet conspirator.
Guest Cast: Dorian Harewood as Dr. Sherman; Stephanie Jacobsen as Jesse; Richard Schiff as Fischer (elder); Adam Busch as Fischer (younger); John Kelly as Baldwin

Btw;
If you wonder about how did Cameron take off Cromartie’s head with a shotgun, here is your answer :
“the rounds in the shotgun, our resident experts on that stuff are ash miller and zack stentz. they researched it and it's a special round with a depleted uranium core. they actually exist.”
in ternminator wiki, official writer of the show explained it.
and “The Soundtrack is coming in 8 days”… they say

the guy that writes these things is still being a pesomiwts but I am not going to rant about that again I do agree with a few of his points Riely should have died last week Cromarte should not have died or did he I think I saw him in the preview for this episode maybe it is wishful tkinking as I have really gotten to likeing Cromarte over las few episodes and I would not mind seeing him and Cameron go at it again as for his death I have mixed feelings about it those mechine guns should not stop him but I could buy Cameron’s shotgun getting the job done Cromarte may not be dead his Endo Skeition remains all he needs is a new chip and HE WILL BE BACK until he is burned he is not dead

i have to say the take ‘death’ of cromartie kinda sucked, i was hopeing for at last a cameron vs cromartie smakdown, there’v gone a bit soft on that lately in the first seasion there was at least some terminator vs terminator action in most of the eps’. anyways i have to agree with mike he’s not dead untill the skeleton is gone, but they did distroy the chip…

okay so I just finished watching tonights episode I have to say it was bizhere Sarah having nightmares about Sky Net or Judgment day or John is nothing knew and I am not sure what to make of her dreams or her sickness I hope it is not cancer Fisher a Sky Net suporter well that is differn’t to say the least I even found some Irony in the fact that Fisher framed himself for the crime he was convicted of and as for him torturing Derek I think it was some sort of twisted revenge for what Derek did to him in the present also I that whole thing about Derek and Jesse being from alternate timelins was suprisingly easy to buy beacuse Derek did not remember and we all know that Derek changed the future when he killed Andy Goode so maybe that is part of what he changed I am starting to wonder if Derek died in Jesse;s future and she is here to save him form his death in her future if Derek did die in her future maybe she blames John for his death anyway next week I guess we get to see what she is actually doing in the present Ellison having Cromarte’s Edo Skeliton was not a shock to me after all he was hired by Weaver to find Cromarte and bring her his Edo Skeliton Cameron called it right John should have let Cameron kill him and as for Ellison himself he has no idea what a mistake he is making maybe he really is one of the creaters of Sky Net abeit unknowingly a decent but not a great episode a little backstory on Jesse and some changed history on Derek’s role in the Future War aparently but still kind of slow but I espect this is an episode that is going to set up a big showdown betweeb the Connors and Catherine Weaver this episode was okay but not great as much as I hate having to do this I have to give this episode 3 out of 5 stars but I am ecspecting some good stuff from the coming weeks

Well, it’s a bit late in the series, but the writers are finally addressing the affects on the time line by operating a war in the future and the past. The events in “Complications” certainly bring that subject to light. I would say that in Derek’s future he didn’t experience torture at the hands of Fischer, but by torturing the younger version in the present, Derek has created another time line in which Derek will experience torture from the older Fischer. Complicated, yeah. Now Derek doesn’t have memories of being tortured by older Fischer as Derek is from an alternate time line where he wasn’t tortured by older Fischer. However, it is also quite possible that Jesse is lying about the whole thing. But we did witness the older Fischer was responsible for getting his younger self thrown in prison for life. Events which he has already experienced. So he has in affect created his own future by traveling back in time and getting his younger self in trouble. This is more than a war between humans and machines, but a war across time as well. So time must be addressed in this series. Just one thing, I still have a problem with Andy Good getting killed in the present and yet being in the future to tell the resistance that he created Skynet. No matter who did the killing, Derek or Sarcasian, Andy Good cannot be in the future if he was killed in the present. Without a plot element to explain the situation, it creates a paradox.

After Andy’s confession Derek made his mind to kill Andy. When Derek sees Andy Good for the first time in the future, past was unchanged.
After Derek’s time travel to 2007, future flashfowards which realted with Derek’s story lost their meaning, you should consider them as “flashbacks” anymore.

I am also intreasted ing seeing what Catherine Weaver does with Cromate’s Endo Skelition and speaking of Wevear what is she going to do with Ellison now that he did what she asked him to and found Cromarte for will she Terminate him or let him go a good question but I do not see what benfit he brings to her mission now that he has done what she wanted him too and yeas we finally got to see what some of the effects Derek’s actions have had on the Future War the ironic thing is he has efectively made his own future a greater hell for himself

Hi!
Possible that I missed something, but when did Weaver ever say that she wanted to find Cromartie?
Wasn’t/isn’t she looking fot Cameron - the one and only model? What would be the purpose to hunt one of many other T800/888?
Regarding Ellison - now he might be in troubles… providing her Cromartie’s skeleton gives her a proof that he is/was in touch with Connors… hard times for Ellison.
Regards, Tom

Hey…
Maybe Cromartie didnt kill Ellison cause he knew that Ellison was going to give Weaver his body to fix him, if terminator are self conscious, i dont think they wanna die

hey guys
this is really random but in sarah’s dream ,was cameron brest feeding a turtle??.. she has messed up dreams haha, anyway i thought the episode was kinda interesting, the whole parallel time line allows for so many alternat futures, so really they can never stop skynet. but i am hanging out for a T-1001 vs cameron smackdown should b cool

I think a smackdown between t1001 and cameron could be cool. but it seems like to repeat the smackdown of t-1000 and schwarzenegger… or not?
But If I have to make a bet in this case, I BET 4 CAMERON!

hey yeah i think everyone would b betting for cameron, its gonna b sad in the final episodes, depending on how there gonna end it, either with a connor victory to lead to the 3rd movie or a judgment day, what im sayin is if they stop skynet n theres not thret to johns life anymore like in the second movie wont they have to destory his terminator protector, in this case cameron, to hide evidence of the future,..coz that would REALLY SUCK!!

This episode might foreshadow some bad news for us Cameron fans. I didn’t go back and rewatch the episode online, but I think the earlier comment is accurate that Cameron was in fact nursing or at least cuddling a turtle in Sarah’s dream. And after John explained the mercy aspect to Cameron of turning the turtle over she later shows a naive sort of mercy when she turns Ellison over after roughing him up. So the turtle scenes are all about compassion and valuing life. But in recent episodes anyone who shows mercy has reason to regret it later. Sarah let the kid go at the bowling alley, and that was how Cromartie was able to find them. Derek let the younger Fischer go, leaving him free to follow his path into the future. Then there are all the “Wizard of Oz” references other fans have written about on this website, bringing to mind the Tin Man who wanted a heart. Is that what the writers have in mind for Cameron? And while I like the idea of Cameron continuing to develop her personality, I can’t help but think that compassion might not be a desirable trait in a terminator who has to (a) protect John Connor and (b) prevent her own destruction in order to accomplish (a).
