With concrete news that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (or T:SCC for short) has been officially renewed for a second season, and news that the show is already staffing directors for the upcoming sophomore, we now have news that two new characters will be introduced to the show — a young girl, described as a “teenaged hipster”, and an older, 40-something “female Bill Gates” type. Obviously you know what having a young, new character on teh show means — yup, a love interest for John.

Two scoops, as it were. The show is hunting for a couple of new regulars: Becky, a hot teenaged hipster, and Catherine, an unusually earthy business bigwig in her early forties. Which leads me to believe that young John is about to get a girlfriend. Because of the new teenager, I mean, not the 40-year-old female Bill Gates. Although, now that I mention it, he does have some mother issues.

So no John-Cameron romance in the horizon, I take it? Then again, just because John is getting a girlfriend doesn’t mean Cameron will disappear. She might just come to the conclusion that the girl is dangerous, and you know what happens when Cameron thinks a human is dangerous for John. Yup, it’s trunk time!
